A live survey of what UK finance professionals are actually paid, built from packages they share anonymously.
The Finance Pay Index is a crowdsourced salary survey for UK finance and accountancy, from Accounts Assistant to CFO. People share their full package (base, bonus potential and bonus paid, pension, benefits, location, company size and ownership) and see where they rank. Every published figure is calculated from those packages, 484 permanent packages so far, and the figures are recalculated every day. Nothing is scraped from job adverts or estimated by a model.
The index is run by Dan Mackenzie, who has worked in UK finance recruitment since 2011. Its figures come only from what people submit to it, and individual entries are never published or shared. The methodology and the privacy policy explain exactly how.
You’re welcome to quote any published figure with a credit to “The Finance Pay Index (financepayindex.com)” and the month it was taken. The latest headline results are on the key findings page. For a particular cut of the data, such as a role, sector, company size or ownership type, email dan@financepayindex.com. We only report a figure with at least 10 people behind it.
